DESCRIPTION:Step into the shadows of Andrew Jackson's Hermitage for a lantern-lit evening tour exploring ghost stories\, unexplained happenings\, and strange accounts connected to the mansion\, grounds\, family cemetery\, and Jackson himself. \n\nGhost Tours will begin at Andrew & Rachel’s Café\, where guests can enjoy ghostly treats and specialty drinks before heading out on the lantern-lit tour! \n\nAlong the way\, guests will hear stories passed down through generations while also learning about death\, mourning\, funerary customs\, and superstitions of the late-Regency and early-Victorian eras. Blending history\, folklore\, and the atmosphere of Tennessee's most historic site\, this tour offers a rare after-hours look at The Hermitage and the mysteries that have lingered there for more than two centuries.\n\nA portion of all sales will support the Andrew Jackson Foundation’s mission to preserve the home place of Andrew Jackson\, create learning opportunities and inspire informed citizenship.\n\nYou’ve seen The Hermitage by day. But when the sun goes down\, the stories take on a different life. Explore The Hermitage after dark and hear stories of tragedy\, mystery\, and the unexplained. Take a sneak peek at the experience below and get a glimpse of what awaits you after dark.\n\nGhost Tours Sell Out Quickly\, Purchase Now!\nPlease be aware of the following:\n\nTickets are $55 for Members and $60 for Non-Members.\nTickets\, once purchased\, are non-refundable.\nGhost Tours will happen rain or shine\, and tickets will NOT be refunded due to weather conditions.\nThere is a maximum of 42 tickets sold for each Ghost Tour. The total number available will pop up when purchasing tickets. We are unable to make exceptions to add additional spots.\nEach person must have a ticket to enter. Tours sell out quickly\, so purchase tickets ahead of time.\nThis is a walking tour that lasts approximately an hour and a half.\nGhost Tours begin September 17 and run every Thursday\, Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday\, through November 7.
