Privacy Policy

Gather Nashville is a guide to family events in Middle Tennessee, run by Hot TN Roof Media LLC (“we”). This page explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect very little, we never sell it, and you can leave any time.
What we collect
The newsletter. When you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if you choose to give it, your ZIP code. We use the email to send the Thursday newsletter and the ZIP to point you toward events near you. Subscriptions are managed by Beehiiv, our email provider, which stores this information on our behalf under its own privacy policy.
The camp directory list. If you join the waiting list for our camp directory, we collect your email address so we can tell you when it opens. It is kept separately from the newsletter list.
The contact form. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. We keep those messages as long as we need them to answer you.
Usage information. Like most websites we may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand which pages are read and how the site is used. These tools use cookies or similar technologies and collect information such as pages visited, approximate location, device type and referring site. This information is aggregated and does not identify you to us by name.
Accounts. The public site has no accounts. Sign-in exists only for the people who edit the site, and is handled by Clerk.
What we do with it
- Send the newsletter and camp directory updates you asked for.
- Reply to messages you send us.
- Understand what is useful so we can make the site better.
- Keep the site safe, for example by filtering spam submissions.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above, who need it to do their part, and if the law requires it.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for two things: analytics (described above) and, for editors only, staying signed in. You can block or clear cookies in your browser; the public site works without them.
Your choices
- Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. One click and you're out; no questions.
- To have your email removed from the camp list, or to ask what we hold about you, contact us and we'll take care of it.
Children
Gather Nashville is written for parents and caregivers. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, let us know and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Event listings link to venues, ticket sellers and organizers. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the newsletter.
